Location: (McLean, Virginia)
We are looking for a Software Product Development Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full time position at our headquarters in McLean, VA. ECOMPEX is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified company that specializes in software development, document imaging and coding for many large government organizations.
This position will be responsible for leading a software product development team in the development, product release, delivery, and support of high-value, customer-driven, Information systems products. Ensure all developers perform to the highest level of their abilities, ensure the growth of the software development team and responsible for life-cycle software engineering.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1-3 years experience managing personnel and /or resources for a product development team
• 3+ years technical experience in product software and business application development
• 5+ years experience in direct staff management
• Establish and develop software policies and designs
• Knowledge of ISO, CMMI, and other process improvement tools/best practices
• Highly skilled in the following areas: C#, .Net, Visual C++, Java, and J2EE
• Scripting languages such as Javascript and VB Script
• Database design (SQL Server)
• Web Technologies such as XML, ASP, HTML
• Microsoft Project
• Product lifecycle management
• Software release management
• Experience with service oriented architecture (SOA)
• Experience with Life-cycle software COTS product development
• Proven ability to implement documentation and training management for COTS programs and business applications
• Proven team building and motivating capabilities
