Document Imaging and Records Management Services

U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development – More Than Just Scanning and Data Entry
Ecompex was tasked to reduce the amount of space required for document storage and provide for a more efficient means of sharing, and retrieving of HUD record information. In support of this mission Ecompex imaged, indexed, and managed over 45,000 of the agency’s files comprising over 4 million images. Specifically, Ecompex provided services including the development and installation of a web-based document tracking system, conversion of over four million images from legacy document management systems into the new system, indexing and uploading of images to the web-based document management system for internet access, hosting of the new system at Ecompex’s site for agency’s online use, and conducting approved destruction through shredding of paper documents that have been converted to the new system.

Ecompex’s services have allowed the Department of Housing & Urban Development to consolidate several aging legacy systems, dramatically improving document retrieval time and the accuracy of its information.
