U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development – Nationwide Electronic Imaging and Paperless
Ecompex’s primary objective for HUD’s Electronic Imaging Project was to improve organization and access to their documents. Ecompex first developed a prototype system by reviewing and analyzing their current procedures, then developing an imaging and indexing methodology, and then finally imaging selected documents and records. At the same time, Ecompex developed an automated system to create and document an inventory of all of HUD’s records. All work performed by Ecompex was completed on schedule, within budget and was performed within the HUD’s ADP security protocols and Systems Development Methodology. All imaging was accomplished in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration guidelines. Ecompex hosted the web-based system at its facility in McLean, VA. Access was provided to multiple HUD locations nationwide. Ecompex provided on-site training and web-based training nationwide in select HUD locations as well as their headquarters in Washington, D.C. Ecompex also provided a technical call-in help desk center to support all system users.
