Ecompex 2006 Spring Q3 Ceremony and Company Picnic - Fun for the whole family!

2006 Virginia Spring Q3 Winners

Hot dog eating contests, water balloons, hula hoops, egg tossing competitions, prestigious awards - these were just a few of the fun and exciting activities that took place on Saturday June 3, 2006 at Ecompex's annual Spring Q3 Ceremony and Company Picnic. This year's event was held at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, VA and proved to be as much as a successful team building exercise as it did an enjoyable summer saturday afternoon picnic.

Ecompex employees volunteered prior to the event to assist in the preparation, cooking, setting up, and cleaning up for the event. With 28 Ecompex employees volunteered, the picnic went off without a hitch. The day started off with a wide selection of picnic food with plenty left for seconds (and for some thirds!). After lunch was over, The Q3 Ceremony began which honors Ecompex employees who excel in the three most important aspects of their jobs - Quality, Quantity, and Quickness. This years winners from our Virginia office were:

After the conclusion of the Q3 ceremony, everyone was broken into two teams to compete in a variety of exciting games including a hotdog eating contest, hula hoop contest, water balloon toss, and egg toss. The competition was intense as the two teams battled for a prize of a new Ecompex polo shirt. After the dust settled and the games were over, the white team came out on top as the winners.

The day ended with a highly anticipated raffle for a brand new state of the art gas grill. Our project supervisor Nadine Madison was the lucky recipient of the grill and will surely enjoy many delicious meals this summer prepared with it.

Overall the event was a tremendous success. A enormous gratitude goes out to all our volunteers who assisted in making the picnic run smoothly, it could not have happened without them. Congratulations to all the Q3 award winners as well, your hard work and dedication to quality, quantity, and quickness is what keeps Ecompex at the top of the information technology field.
