Washington, DC - June 30, 2009 - The Minority Enterprise Executive Council (MEE Council) hosted the very prestigious awards gala 50 Most Powerful Minority CEO's and Corporate Executives on Thursday, June 25, 2009. The theme: "Celebrating Outstanding Leadership and Success." The gala was held from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Capital Hilton Hotel, located at 16th & K Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
Mr. Hubin Jiang, President & CEO of ECOMPEX, Inc. was one of the honorees selected by The Minority Enterprise Executive Council as one of the 50 Most Powerful Minority CEO's in the United States. Through hard work, dedication, and a clear vision, Mr. Jiang has had achievements and success in the areas of information technology development, management, and implementation for over 20 years.
The event's keynote speakers included Gloria Parker, CEO and Senior Partner, Parker Group Consulting in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Parker Group Consulting contracts with major corporations on government and business strategies. Ms. Parker served on the Obama-Biden Transition Team in 2008-2009. She served on the technology team for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Education. Previously, Ms. Parker has served as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer for HUD.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the non-profit organization, Communities In Schools (www.cisnet.org).
