McLean, VA - April 6, 2009 - ECOMPEX was a proud sponsor of the 11th Annual AFCEA Bethesda-sponsored gala supporting The Children's Inn at NIH held on Saturday April 4, 2009. Since the first gala in 1999, companies and individuals representing all areas of the federal IT community have contributed generously with their time and financial support. This gala has grown to become one of the most important fund raising events of the year for The Inn.
The Children's Inn at NIH is "a place where hope lives" during medical treatments for serious and life-threatening illnesses at the National Institutes of Health. Now in its 11th year, "A Night for the Children" will have contributed close to $3 million in funding to The Inn after this year's event.
The Children's Inn at NIH welcomes individuals and companies to become further involved as volunteers and donors. Volunteer opportunities are available on an ongoing basis, or for one-time activities appropriate for groups. Donations of in-kind and financial support are always welcome to help defray the costs of supporting families, who stay at The Inn free of charge.
