As a leader in information processing software and management solutions, Ecompex is on the cutting edge of technologies that will lead the market for federal Health IT. So what is federal Health IT and why is it so important to Ecompex?
Health IT came to the forefront in 2004 when President Bush made it a priority on his agenda, by issuing an Executive Order mandating updates in medical information technology. The main focus of federal Health IT is converting paper medical records into electronic records and standardizing them. This is meant to make the cumbersome healthcare system more efficient by changing the way health information is used and shared, which will make accessing medical information easier for doctors and patients.
Today, Health IT remains a priority for the President, and both the Administration and Congress are pushing to make changes soon. In fact, there has been much buzz on Capitol Hiss about actively moving forward with Health IT goals already this year. To ensure that the Health IT goals are accomplished, President Bush has allotted $169 million in the 2007 budget for Health IT solutions, which will undoubtedly be put to use quickly.
Ecompex is becoming involved with Health IT because of the numerous problems the aging healthcare system has with document imaging and systems integration. One way that Ecompex has contributed to the field of Health IT already is by co-sponsoring the AFCEA Health IT day, held in Bethesda this past November, where discussions were held by federal healthcare experts and technology companies about how to improve the current healthcare system.
Ecompex can provide solutions to the outdated imaging and records management systems with our advanced imaging software, such as VersaScan and eDocWare and innovative information processing technology, such as jDocMax and jDocXpt. Ecompex is on the cutting edge of the technology that will renew the aging healthcare system and alleviate many of the current problems, to drive Health IT forward.
Updates to the healthcare system will streamline information sharing with electronic records, which will benefit all who use it by making information almost immediately accessible. Ecompex is at the forefront of Health IT with the most innovative imaging and document management technologies, which will help make this accessibility possible, in order to bring about better healthcare to millions.
